Jane Ansley
Jane Ansley, 88, of Patoka, Illinois,
and formerly of Rushsylvania, Ohio, died Thursday, October 30, 2008, at
the Twin Willow Nursing Center in Salem, Illinois.
She was born in Cleveland on December
12, 1919, a daughter of the late William and Maude Nellie Webber Bohley.
On March 22, 1942, she married George William Ansley in Rushsylvania and
he preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Carol
(Larry) Klotz of Holland, Ohio; sons, David (Carol) Ansley of
Springfield, Missouri; Dan (Donna) Ansley of Benton, Arkansas, Jim
(Sherry) Ansley of O’Fallon, Missouri, and Jon (Nancy) Ansley of Patoka,
Illinois; grandchildren, Zachary and Jessica Ansley, Rebecca and
Jonathan Huensch, Morghan Ansley, Jessica Taylor, Anna Grace Ansley, Kim
and Steve King, Bryan Ansley, Jami Jo, Joani, Nellie and Jacey Walker,
Kimberly (Chris) Kolodziejski and Kellie Acosta; great-grandchildren,
Quinton Ansley, Jaxon Taylor, Ansley King, Christian Evans-Walker, Ethan
Finkbone, Mollie Walker, Michael, Krystyn and Brice Kolodziejski, and
Christopher and Marcus Acosta; one great-great-grandchild, Camilo
Acosta; and sisters-in-law, Margaret Ansley and Sally Rollins Phillips.
A professional seamstress, she made
radios for the war efforts during World War II. She was a member of the
First Christian Church, where she sang in the choir until she was 84
years old.
An artist and member of the Order of
Eastern Star, she loved her role as a minister’s wife and especially her
role as a mother to her five beloved children.
Pastor John James conducts the
funeral service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 4, 2008, at the
Rushsylvania Church of Christ, where calling is one hour prior to the
service. Burial is in the Rushsylvania Cemetery.
