Dorothy E. Phillips

Dorothy E. Phillips, 83, of Kenton, died Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at Kenton Nursing & Rehab in Kenton, Ohio .

She was born in Kenton on June 18, 1925, a daughter of the late Willis and Anna Hayes Klingler. On October 22, 1944, she married Richard Phillips in Belle Center and he died April 12, 1990. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Willis “Willie” Klingler.

Survivors include sons, Larry (Linda) Phillips of Belle Center and David (Peggy) Phillips of Bellefontaine; eight grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

A homemaker, she was a member of the Belle Center Church of Christ, the Ladies Auxiliary and the Kenton VFW.

Pastor David C. Hawthorne will conduct the funeral service at 11 a.m. Friday, September 5, 2008, at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Belle Center, where calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening. Burial is in the Fairview Cemetery in Belle Center, Ohio.
