Klinker
Donald E. Klinker, 79, of Russells
Point, Ohio, died Wednesday, October 22, 2008, in his home.
He was born in Detroit on May 31,
1929, a son of the late George William and Edna Belle Murphy Klinker. On
October 5, 1952, he married the former Doris Erlyne Schreiber and she
died July 19, 2000.
He also was preceded in death by
infant daughters, Theresa Maria and Mary Catherine; a sister, Kathryn
McBride; and one great-granddaughter.
Survivors include sons, Robert E.
(Dora) Klinker and William S. (Marilyn) Klinker, both of Lakeview,
Charles A. (Jean) Klinker of Belle Center and D. Eric (Sandy) Klinker of
Marysville; 14 grandchildren; and 18 greatgrandchildren.
A mechanic for the former
MacGillivray Ford, he worked for Pan Ark Oil & Tire from 1974 to 1984
and Montgomery Ward from 1985 to 1987. He retired in 1989.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving
as a machinist mate third class, and was a member of St. Mary of the
Woods Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus.
Rev. Harold Kist conducts the funeral
service at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 25, 2008, at the St. Mary of the
Woods Church in Russells Point. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday
evening at the Eichholtz Funeral Home in Bellefontaine, and at the
church two hours prior to the service. Burial is in the Huntsville
Cemetery, with military rites by the Logan County Honor Guard.
